My daughter, Chloe, is 15 and has been around horses all her life. Her first days hunting was at 18 months old!
Chloe rides, competes and handles all of our ponies and most of the horses too!
The third member of the team is Sarah Heathfield who has worked with and competed horses for over 20 years including many years working for an International horse charity specialising in the training and re homing of horses and ponies.
And of course I must not forget the final member of the team, my husband Andrew, who is also a livestock haulier.
He is responsible for producing our nice hay and haylage, maintaining the lorry and generally keeping me sane!
All our horses and ponies, even my stallion Bo, are competed regularly at local riding club level and we also do some BE events.
We like to put all our horses into as many different situations as possible as we believe this makes them better equipped to deal with life after they leave us. Every horse is treated as an individual and we aim to find the right owner so both horse and rider can enjoy life.
Our Clients
Mrs B Anderson, Devon
"On new Years eve, 2007 we traveled to New Hunt Horses in Gloucestershire to view Gucci. Upon arrival, we saw that the yard was well kept and all the horses appeared happy and healthy.
Sue introduced us to our future horse and was completely honest with us in what she said. We took Gucci for a hack on a nearby forest path, and then popped a couple of jumps in the arena back at the yard. The trial facilities were excellent and well looked after. We paid a deposit for Gucci after making the decision, and on the 9th of January, she was transported down to Devon, looking calm and happy after the long journey.
She settled in quickly without any fuss, and we were pleased to see that she hadn’t been abandoned in a field upon paying the deposit. Sue was extremely helpful and honest, and we would more than happily buy from her again, should we decide to get another horse".
Mrs M Cooper
"We found Holly to be exactly as described by Sue, a well marked yearling filly who was much admired at a recent show.
She has a great temperament, is super bold and extremely friendly, never nasty. We are really pleased in every way, very impressed in the New Hunt stallion's faultless temperament, which has most definitely been passed on to his young stock".
